Physical Attractions
1. Ilisos River - is located in Mount Hymettus as a large, channelled underground.
2. Areopagus hill - It is situated, north-west of the Acropolis in Athens. In classical times, it functioned as the high court of appeal for criminal and civil cases.
3. Cephissus (Athenian plain) - is a river which is situated between the Mount Parnitha and Mount Penteli.
4. Mount Lycabettus - is a limestone hill. At 277 metres above sea level, it is the highest point in the city that surround it. At its two peaks, there is a 19th century Chapel of St. George, a theatre, and a restaurant.
5. Mount Pentelicus - Its highest point is the peak Pyrgari, elevation 1,109 m.[1] The mountain is covered in large part with forest (about 60% or 70%), and can be seen from southern Athens, the Pedia plain, Parnitha, and the southern part of the northern suburbs of Athens.
